The Russian Economy Minister Alexei Ulyukayev predicted the appreciation of the ruble during the year at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
"Based on the forecast on the current account of $50-60 billion and negative capital account of $30-40 billion, all of this together gives a tendency to a certain strengthening of the ruble," Interfax cited him as saying.
"I think that we'll be in the area of $60 by the end of the year," Ulyukayev believes.
