According to the head of the republic, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic will continue to implement the program for the resettlement of the unfit residential buildings. In total, it is planned to resettle over 2,600 people.
Kabardino-Balkaria currently faces an acute problem of unfit residential buildings, affecting many residents of the region. According to official data, over 2, 600 people live in unfit buildings. This has become a serious problem for the local authorities.
“In 2019-2023, under the program of resettlement from unfit residential buildings, 1,243 people (20,800 sq. m.) were resettled. Having completed the first program ahead of schedule, we are implementing measures for premises recognized as emergency since January 1, 2017, and also a regional program for the resettlement of dormitories. In 2024-2025, we will resettle another 2,617 people, or 953 apartments. For these purposes, we have allocated 678 mln rubles from the republican budget for 2022-2025.
