"United National Movement" prepares large-scale protests

Georgia's largest opposition party, "the United National Movement", intends to organize large-scale protests aimed at calling early parliamentary elections and a further change of power, UNM MP Levan Khabeishvili said.

Earlier, Khabeishvili held consultations with the Georgian ex-president, the founder of the party, Mikheil Saakashvili.

The deputy explained that the results of the 2020 parliamentary elections would be the reason for the mass demonstrations: according to the opposition, the elections' results were falsified by the ruling party "Georgian Dream".

"We must arrange a big national holiday - the day when we celebrate the Georgian Dream. For this, the mobilization of the Georgian people is necessary, and after that the authorities will have to make a specific decision. I think that if the Georgian people are mobilized, they will have to do this", Sputnik Georgia quotes Khabeishvili.

The oppositionist added that Saakashvili would announce the details of calling early parliamentary elections himself at the trial tomorrow .
