Vandals damaged statues of ballerinas at the fountain in the park near Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater on Rustaveli Avenue, the press service of the mayor of the Georgian capital reported.
The criminal proceedings has been opened under Article 197 "Damage or destruction of a thing that caused significant damage" of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Penalties or imprisonment for up to three years threaten those who are guilty.
