President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has received a US delegation led by Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore at his Tashkent residence. The delegation included Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and other officials, according to the official website of Uzbekistan's President.
Discussions focused on advancing the Uzbek-US strategic partnership through implementing agreements from the summit in New York.
Both parties acknowledged active political engagement, multi-level exchanges, expanding business cooperation, and growing trade volumes.
US representatives emphasized the importance of working on joint projects in industry, finance, energy, digitalization, agriculture, and other priority areas.
The parties also agreed to strengthen their partnership in security, the fight against terrorism and extremism, illegal migration as well as current global and regional issues.
