Uzbekistan tightens security measures on the threshold of Independence Day

On the threshold of Uzbekistan's Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 1, increased security measures are being taken. This was stated by the Director General of the patrol service and public order protection of the Interior Ministry, Colonel Kobilhon Nakibov.

"In the system of internal affairs agencies, on the basis of an approved plan, measures are being taken to ensure safety and security during the holidays," he stated in an interview to the National News Agency of Uzbekistan.

Special attention is being paid to the observance of public order, road safety and fire safety, and prevention of emergency situations, Nakibov noted.
