VTB: Russia to increase gas supplies to China by 1.5 times

Vitaly Sergeychuk, a member of VTB Bank's Management Board, shared projections for Russia's gas exports to China. According to Sergeychuk's estimates, Russia will increase gas supplies to China by 1.5 times within the next five years.

"According to VTB estimates, by 2030, Russian pipeline gas exports to China will increase by 1.5 times compared to the expected 2025 level, reaching 56 billion cubic meters per year",

Vitaly Sergeychuk said.

Sergeychuk noted that the majority of this volume - 44 billion cubic meters - will be transported via the Power of Siberia pipeline, with the remainder flowing through the Far Eastern route.

Let us remind you that Russian gas exports to China are currently carried out via the Power of Siberia pipeline. The volume of deliveries amounts to 38 billion cubic meters per year.
