The deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, the coordinator of group of observers from the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly, Valeh Alasgarov, said today that preparations for the early elections to the Majilis (the lower chamber of parliament) of Kazakhstan was organized at a high level.
"Our mission started its work immediately after the announcement of elections. The mission consists of 42 people – parliamentarians of the countries represented in the IPA CIS and experts of the International Institute of Monitoring of IPA CIS democracy. Observers from the IPA CIS began its work immediately after the announcement of elections and closely monitor their organization," Kazinform cites him as saying.
