Vessel traffic via Bosphorus halted due to fog

The ship traffic in the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul was temporarily halted in both directions, the Turkish Coast Guard Command reported.

The measure was taken due to a heavy fog in the strait.

The visibility in the strait declined dramatically in the morning, TRT reports.

The fog was largely formed in the northern part of the Bosphorus, closer to Black Sea waters.
