Victor Kagarlitsky: I liked everything at Trampolining World Cup in Baku

In an interview with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, Ukrainian coach Viktor Kagarlitsky admitted that he liked everything at this Trampolining World Cup, held in Baku for the first time.

"I liked everything, from the conditions in which the competition is held, and the conditions in which we are living, to the transportation. I cannot say anything bad. There are only the best impressions from Baku and the Cup," he informed.

Speaking about Ukrainian-Azerbaijani contacts in sports, the coach reminded that today Azerbaijan has and trains many good Ukrainian athletes. "for example, Pavel Netreba works here as a coach in gymnastics, he is a coach of Oleg Stepko. There is also Vladimir Shulikin, coach of gymnasts on trampoline's national team, we have known each other many years. So there are good relations between our countries in gymnastics," he said, adding that the cooperation can be strengthened even more.

Kagarlitskiy added that he was not satisfied with some of the performances of the Ukrainian team at the World Cup. "Marina Kiyko performed normally, though she could do better. Girls in synchronized competition also could do better, but they did their work. The male part of the team, of course, was not ready and did not do it. Unfortunately, Ukraine does not have the necessary equipment, we have to train on the old equipment, and cannot really get ready," the coach of the Ukrainian national team said.
