The branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in Azerbaijan is an outstanding university, the rector of the Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
"I am very grateful to the leadership of Azerbaijan and the rector Nargiz Pashayeva that everything is arranged so well in the Baku branch and for the fact that it has achieved really significant success," the rector of the Moscow State University said in the first place.
Viktor Sadovnichy drew attention to the fact that the Baku branch has everything necessary for development, excellent conditions have been created for its work. "The leadership of Azerbaijan, the president of the republic provide us every support we need," he stressed.
The rector of Moscow State University said about the opportunities to raise the level of knowledge of Russian with the help of the Baku branch. "We need to pay more attention to preparatory procedures and courses, as well as to work with schools," Viktor Sadovnichy pointed out.
The Azerbaijani side, in its turn, proposes to expand the teaching process in the Baku branch of the Moscow State University with a number of natural science disciplines. "This year we are expanding the master's program and are ready to expand it further. We are ready to do whatever the Azerbaijani side considers necessary," the rector of the Moscow State University said.
"The campus in Baku is surprisingly good. I've been there many times, when a new campus wasn't built, and I'll try to come again to visit the Baku branch, because I have a lot of friends there," Viktor Sadovnichy concluded.
