Residents of the Armenian village of Kirants, located on the border with Azerbaijan, began to destroy their property. Local media reported this.

Earlier, it was reported that the Armenian authorities had ordered local residents to leave their homes by June 24.

Before returning the village to Azerbaijan, some of the villagers living there intend to demolish their houses.

Let us recall that the 8th meeting of the State Commission on Border Delimitation between representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held in April. There, a decision was made on the peaceful return of four villages in the Gazakh district of Azerbaijan to the control of Baku. Work on delimitation and demarcation on the border started exactly a month ago, on April 23.
