Virginia Raggi to become Rome's first female mayor

Rome is to be governed by its first woman mayor as 37-year-old Virginia Raggi, of the Five Star Movement (M5S), scored a dazzling electoral victory with as much as 67% of the vote.

Raggi, who was little known just a few months ago, was on course to win two-thirds of the vote, defeating the PD candidate, Roberto Giachetti, BBC reports.
