Visa liberalization between EU and Georgia won't happen this year, source says

The EU will not introduce visa-free regime for short trips for citizens of Georgia and Ukraine before the end of this year, a source close to the European Parliament (EP) said.

"Due to the upcoming elections in a number of EU countries and due to public opinion and sentiments in these countries, according to the information that I have, Georgia and Ukraine should not expect the decisions on visa liberalization," he noted, Sputnik Georgia reports.
