Vitaly Mutko tasked with North Caucasus development

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev shared responsibility of implementation of state programs among his deputies, according to the website of the Russian government.

Each of the ten deputy prime ministers will be responsible for several state programs.

Vitaly Mutko is responsible for the development of the North Caucasus Federal District (in cooperation with the Ministry of the North Caucasus Affairs), for implementing the state national policy (in cooperation with the Russian Federal Agency for Nationalities) and for social and economic cooperation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia (in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry).

Mutko was also appointed responsible for providing Russians with affordable and comfortable housing and utilities (the Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector), developing federal relations and creating conditions for the effective and responsible management of regional and municipal finances (the Ministry of Finance), as well as for the socio-economic development of the Kaliningrad region (the Ministry of Economy).

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov will also be responsible for providing Russians with affordable and comfortable housing relating to mortgage lending; for economic development and innovative economy, development of foreign economic activity and federal property management (the Ministry of Economy); for the maintenance of public order and the fight against crime in terms of migration policy (the Interior Ministry); for the management of state finances and the regulation of financial markets (the Ministry of Finance); for foreign policy activity (the Foreign Ministry).

Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov is responsible for three state programs: an economic development and innovative economy (the Ministry of Economy) in terms of state regulation of intellectual property, cadastral registration of real estate objects, real property rights registration and transactions; information society (the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media); development of the transport system (the Ministry of Transport).

Vice Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova will engage in seven state programs: social support for citizens, an accessible environment, the pension system development, the promotion of employment (in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor), the development of health care (the Ministry of Health); educational development (the Ministry of Education); Russia's scientific and technological development (the Ministry of Education and Science).

Vice Prime Minister Yury Borisov will be responsible for 11 state programs, four of them jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade: development of the defense industry, development of the aircraft industry, development of shipbuilding and equipment for exploitation of offshore oil fields, development of the electronic and radio-electronic industry. In addition, he is responsible for Russia's space activities (Roscosmos); development of the nuclear power industry complex (Rosatom); Russia's defense capability (the Ministry of Defense); state security (FSB); protection of individuals, society and the state (the National Guard of Russia); protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and water safety (EMERCOM); ensuring public order and the fight against crime (the Interior Ministry).

Deputy Chairman of the Government Olga Golodets is responsible for the development of culture and tourism (the Ministry of Culture) and for the development of physical culture and sports (the Ministry of Sport).

Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeev is responsible for environmental protection, the reproduction and use of natural resources, the development of forestry (in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment), for the development of agriculture and the regulation of agricultural raw and food markets, as well as the development of fish industry (the Ministry of Agriculture).

Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak will deal with four state programs: the development of industry and increase of its competitiveness, the development of the pharmaceutical and medical industries (in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade); energy development (the Ministry of Energy); socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol (the Ministry of Economy).

Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev is responsible for the socio-economic development of the Far East and the Baikal region and the socio-economic development of Russia's Arctic zone (in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy).

Deputy head of the government Konstantin Chuichenko will be responsible for the 'Information Society' state program (in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media) in terms of state policy in the field of mass communications and media; the 'Justice' program (the Ministry of Justice).
