Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in connection with the Independence Day of the Republic.
The President noted Tajikistan’s achievements in resolving current socioeconomic development issues, and the country’s constructive foreign policy and growing influence in Central Asia and beyond.
Vladimir Putin gave a high assessment of the rapid growth in the two countries’ relations of strategic partnership and alliance, and their cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, Collective Security Treaty Organisation, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and other multilateral bodies.
The President said that Russia and Tajikistan will continue their efforts to strengthen their mutually advantageous cooperation in the interests of both peoples. He also stressed that Russia supports the Tajikistani leadership’s consistent efforts to guarantee regional stability and security and prevent attempts to destabilize the situation in the country.
