Vladimir Putin congratulates Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on Independence Day

Kazakhstan celebrates Independence Day - the national holiday of the republic. On this occasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the Kremlin press service reported.

The Russian leader highly appreciated Kazakhstan's Kazakhstan’s achievements in the economic, social, scientific and technical and other spheres and noted the country’s high authority in the world arena.

"Relations between our states are dynamically developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. Bilateral cooperation in various areas, as well as interaction within the framework of such structures as the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, SCO, UN, has a good impact", Putin said in his congratulations, as TASS reports.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence in the further consistent strengthening of constructive Russian-Kazakh ties "for the benefit of the friendly peoples of the two countries and in the interests of ensuring stability and security on the Eurasian continent," the congratulation says.
