Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Tajikistan next week to attend the CIS summit, where he will meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and other CIS countries’ leaders, the Rossiya 1 broadcaster reported.
Yesterday, the Russian President and the Tajik leader discussed arrangements for the Russian head of state’s upcoming meeting over the phone, the Kremlin said.
"In the phone call, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on his birthday. They discussed issues relating to the Russian president’s upcoming state visit to Tajikistan," the press release reads.
