Vladimir Putin presents "The Inspector General'' to Tatyana Golikova

Today Russian President Vladimir Putin presented a book of "The Inspector General'' by Gogol, which was printed in 1936, to the head of the Accounting Chamber Tatyana Golikova. Recall that Tatyana Golikova celebrated her birthday the other day.

"Don't draw parallels between the year and the present," President said. It is worth noting that the edition of 1936 was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first theatrical performances of  "The Inspector General'' by Gogol, so the book was about the implementation of the main stagings over 100 years, RBC reports.
