Azerbaijan has always taken a constructive position regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said at the meeting with Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov in Baku.
According to Volodin, Russia is certainly concerned by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and favors a peaceful resolution to this conflict.
"Those who seek to spoil relations and turn a blind eye to people’s desire to live at peace are taking steps towards escalation. We must do whatever we can to prevent this," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
"Azerbaijan has always displayed a right and constructive position [towards the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict]," Volodin said.
