A number of experts suggest that Omicron could be the last coronavirus strain, Melita Vujnović, special representative of the World Health Organization in Russia, said.
"Some [experts] suggest that Omicron will be the last option, but right now there is no way to know for sure. There is a possibility that a new variant, more contagious or severe, may appear", TASS quoted her.
Vujnović further noted that there were no signs of new dangerous strains of coronavirus at present. At the same time, she warned that such strains could appear by autumn.
