WHO: world facing shortage of protective equipment against coronavirus

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the world is facing a chronic shortage of personal protective equipment against coronavirus.

Ghebreyesus said protective equipment - gowns, masks and gloves - has been sent to every region to help fight the outbreak.

"However the world is facing a chronic shortage of personnel protective equipment," he wrote on Twitter.

He also said that the rate of infections within China had slowed over the last two days, but that "the numbers could go up again," the Independent reported.
