The United States is ready to conclude a new agreement with Iran to guarantee that it will never produce nuclear weapons, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in his interview to German newspaper Rheinische Post.
"We guarantee that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons," he noted. The U.S. Secretary of State indicated that the United States is ready to make a deal with Iran if it is ready to guarantee that it will not develop "any possibilities for producing nuclear weapons posing a threat to the world."
Speaking about the 2015 deal with Iran, Pompeo said that, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, it "directly" allows Iran to possess nuclear weapons.
