A few days after the appeal to the Prime Minister of Armenia, the community of Western Azerbaijan made a new statement. It was distributed by its chairman Aziz Alakbarli.

The document highly appreciates the invitation from the government of Azerbaijan to the Armenian residents of Karabakh to a meeting, in the framework of which it is supposed to continue discussions on the topic of reintegration and restoration of Karabakh.

"The path to peace and security in the region goes through dialogue, reconciliation and reintegration",

Accordingly, the organization stressed, it could be expected that the Armenian leadership would respond to the initiative sent to it to launch negotiations on the return of Azerbaijanis who had been expelled from Armenia.

A few days ago, the community sent a letter to Nikol Pashinyan calling for the start of a dialogue on the possibility for Azerbaijanis to return home safely and with dignity.

The statement notes that the community intends to build negotiations on the basis of human rights, international law and reintegration.

Armenia urged to abandon "ethnic incompatibility" approach

Aziz Alakbarli stressed that the dialogue on both issues, both in connection with the Armenians living in Azerbaijan and in connection with the Azerbaijanis who had been expelled from Armenia, was launched by Baku and the Western Azerbaijan Community.

"We hope that the Armenian side will abandon its approach of "ethnic incompatibility" and take steps based on the noble values of ethnic diversity, tolerance and multiculturalism",
