A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck western Turkey this morning.
According to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake struck the Acıpayam district at 9:34 a.m. local time at a depth of 11.3 kilometers.
Two aftershocks, measuring magnitude 4.8 and 4.5 were recorded following the earthquake, Daily Sabah reported,
The quake was also felt in the neighboring provinces of Izmir and Antalya.
