On the fourth day of the Olympic Games underway in Rio de Janeiro the athletes will contend for 9 medal sets: canoe/kayak slalom, diving, equestrian, fencing, gymnastics, judo, shooting, swimming and weight lifting. 

Fans are waiting for the women's all-around team gymnastics final. Earlier Aliya Mustafina, Anastasia Melnikova, Maria Paseka and Daria Spiridonova and Seda Tuthalyan finished in third place after qualifications.

The Russian national team sets its hopes on 25m pistol shooting: Russia will be represented by the silver champion of the Games 2016 in 10m air pistol Vitalina Batsarashkina and Ekaterina Korshunova.

In women's individual archery competitions Zahra Nemati (Iran) will compete against Inna Stepanova (Russia),  Tuiana Dashidorzhieva (Russia) against Karma Karma (Bhutan), Ksenia Perova (Russia) against Natalia Sanchez (Colombia).

David Ferrer (Espania) will play Evgeny Donskoy (Russia) in the 1/16 men's singles tennis tournament. Ekaterina Makarova/Elena Vesnina (Russia) will play Raluca Olaru/Andreea Mitu (Romania) in the 1/8 women's doubles.

Russians beach volleyball players Evgeniya Ukolova and Ekaterina Birlova will face Poland's Monika Brzostek and Kinga Kolosinska, while Russians Vyacheslav Krasilnikov and Konstantin Semenov will play against Chileans Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt.

In addition, Russia hopes for a medal in the men's 200m freestyle.

Three Azerbaijani boxers will fight today: Kamran Shahsuvarli (75 kg) will fight in 1/16 finals against China's Minggang Zhao, Albert Selimov will face Oliver Joyce (Ireland), and Magomedrasul Majidov (+91 kg) will try to win against Mohammed Arjaoui (Morocco).
