Wine exports from Georgia to Russia falls by a quarter

In the first 7 months of the year, the Russian Federation purchased the minimum volumes of wine from Georgia since 2022.

Wine supplies from Georgia to Russia fell by a quarter in the first 7 months of this year. Exports reached their lowest levels in three years, the country's statistical service Sakstat reports.

The total volume of supplies amounted to about $90 mln. Last year, the total value of wine exports in the first 7 months from Georgia to Russia amounted to over $120 mln.

According to Sakstat, the share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of wine exports fell from 70% to 62%. The total value of wine exports abroad amounted to  over $145 mln.
