Hungarian Wizz Air will resume flights between Budapest and Baku from March 2016, the vice-president of Azerbaijan Airlines, Arif Mammadov, said.
“We have 99% agreed with the terms of Wizz Air. A delegation of the Hungarian airline will arrive in Baku on October 27. The contract will be signed on October 28 on the terms that are preferential for the Hungarian company. Wizz Air was offered to operate to Gabala, but the airline insisted on Baku, and we agreed on this issue,” Trend cited Mammadov as saying.
He noted that they offered Wizz Air to begin flights in the winter, but they decided to start in March. In the start, flight frequency will be one flight a week, and in summer will increase to two flights a week.
