World Bank worsens Armenia's forecast

The World Bank has published a new forecast for the development of the Armenian economy, which was more pessimistic than the previous one.

According to the forecast, the growth of the economy will be 1.9% this year. Earlier, the World Bank analysts expected it would be about 2.5%.

At the same time, they don't rule out its increase in the medium term up to 3% in the case of a global economic recovery, but the structural weaknesses of the economy will prevent this.

In addition, according to the World Bank, Armenia's budget deficit this year will increase to 3.9% of the country's GDP, ARKA reports.
