Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Moscow for an official visit. The Chinese leader’s plane landed in Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.
This is Xi Jinping’s sixth visit to Russia as head of state. Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in an informal dinner with Jinping this evening, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"An informal dinner of Putin and Xi Jinping will be held in the Kremlin in the evening as part of the Chinese leader’s official visit," TASS cited Peskov as saying.
According to Peskov, July 4 will be completely devoted to full-fledged talks between the Russian and Chinese leaders. "There will be bilateral negotiations, the signing of documents. There will be an unusual format, the two leaders will meet with representatives of the public, business circles and media community of Russia and China who will brief Putin and Xi Jinping on their interaction," the Kremlin spokesman said.
On July 4, the Chinese leader will also met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. During the top-level meeting it is planned to discuss bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy sector, industry, transport infrastructure and agriculture.
