Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping is going to the Middle East, from January 19th to 24th he will visit three countries – Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran.
This will be the first visit by the head of China to Saudi Arabia over the past seven years, Chinese state leaders have not visited Cairo and Tehran for the last 12 and 14 years respectively.
In addition to talks with the leaders of these countries, Xi Jinping will meet with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS), Nabil Elaraby, and deliver a speech at the headquarters of this international organization, TASS reports.
