Yatsenyuk explains rejection of Russian gas is due to its excessive cost

Kiev doesn’t intend to purchase gas from Moscow because its price is too high, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted in the ’10 minutes with the Prime Minister’ radio program.

"We have stopped buying gas from the Russian Federation. On January 1st they announced a tariff with the price of $212 per thousand cubic meters of gas. We won’t buy gas from Russia because the gas price proposed by the European Union is less. The average cost of purchasing gas in the European Union is about $200,’’ Gazeta.ru cites him as saying.
