Train traffic between Yerevan and Batumi will soon resume. There has been no traffic since the end of May, when flooding occurred in Armenia due to rainfall.
"Starting from June 24, every other day, a train will run on the route Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan",
South Caucasian Railway said.
Let us remind you that the only railway connecting Armenia with other countries was damaged on May 25. It was restored with the assistance of the Russian side by June 15. Russian specialists worked on the damaged Armenian road around the clock, since a long break in the operation of the railway line could lead to problems with food and fuel supplies for the residents of Armenia.
