Head of the 4th territorial division of the Urban Development and Land Control Department of the Yerevan Municipality, Aramayis Avetisyan, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison, News.am reports.
Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash found the official guilty under Article 178(2)(2) of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The probation period will be one year.
According to the indictment, Aramayis Avetisyan pocketed 600,000 AMD, which he demanded from a Yerevan citizen for the formulation of documents.
