Secretary general of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Yuri Khachaturov, has a right to leave Armenia’s territory, press secretary of the Special Investigative Service of Armenia Marina Ohanjanyan said.
According to her, Khachaturov’s release on bail doesn’t imply any travel lock.
"He is allowed to be absent from Armenia for a certain period of time," ARKA cited the press secretary as saying.
Ohanjanyan added that it is not decided so far how long his absence can be.
Khachaturov, who was the chief of the Yerevan garrison in 2008, is charged in connection with the order to send police and soldiers to break up a demonstration in the Armenian capital in March 2008. However, he has been released from custody after posting bail.
