The Armenian side has confirmed discussions with Georgia regarding the transit of Azerbaijani fuel to Armenia via Georgian territory. The Armenian Ministry of Economy issued a statement in response to media inquiries.

The ministry referenced a recent announcement from Georgia's Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

"Such a discussion took place with the Georgian side, and we received the published information",

Armenian Ministry of Economy reported.

This follows an earlier announcement by the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, which stated that on December 5 the government received a request from partner nations for a one-time fuel transit from Azerbaijan to Armenia through Georgia.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze subsequently instructed Georgian Railways to facilitate this transit shipment free of charge.
