The head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov believes that on the background of improving relations between Russia and Turkey, the final match with participation of wrestlers - natives of the North Caucasus republics - is symbolic.
Recall that Dagestan's Abdulrashid Sadulaev has won the gold medal in the Olympic freestyle wrestling men's 86kg. During the final he defeated Turkey’s Selim Yasar (Zelimkhan Kortoev), alumnus of Ingush wrestling school.
He also that many Russian wrestlers compete under the flags of different countries, since there is a huge competition.
