The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, has denied information about the torture of a woman who has been detained for aiding militants.
"As for Leila Chemurzieva, it would be foolish to say that the wounded woman is being tortured right in the hospital. She is being treated and guarded, as it should be. She was wounded while trying to break out of encirclement during the arrest of the leaders of a bandit gang. You should protect human rights, but you cannot slander based on conjecture and speculations, not having reliable information," RIA Novosti cited Yevkurov as saying.
