The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, said today that there was no headquarters of the 'Committee for the Prevention of Torture' in the republic. Moreover, human rights defenders didn't establish any contacts with the authorities in the region, Tass reports.
He characterized the attacks on journalists and members of the Committee on the border with Ingushetia as a provocation. "I have no doubts that it was a provocation," Tass cites him as saying.
