Yildirim: Turkish Stream significant for Ankara

Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that energy resources are not a source of controversy for Ankara but a subject of dialogue.

"The project of building the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is being implemented with the participation of Turkey and Azerbaijan, is a clear example of Turkey’s successful energy policy," the prime minister said, addressing the opening of the 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul.

Yildirim noted that Turkey and Azerbaijan also carry out such important projects as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, adding Turkey always stands for diversification of energy resources.

He further said that the Turkish Stream project is also significant for the country, Turkish media outlets reported.
