Moscow welcomes the mutual visits of journalists from Azerbaijan and Armenia and other humanitarian actions aimed at preparing the population for peace in the framework of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.
Maria Zakharova said that these visits took place on November 17-21 with the coordinating role of personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
"We consider this joint event as an indicator of the parties' intention to facilitate the establishment of contacts between Armenians and Azerbaijanis. We believe that such humanitarian actions are aimed at preparing the population for peace. They should continue and we will certainly support them," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited the diplomat as saying.
She noted that Russia "will continue to provide the parties with the necessary mediation assistance."
