Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and Turkish National Defense Deputy Minister Muhsin Dere held talks on the sidelines of the international festival TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan today, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said. Dere is the head of the Turkish delegation at the festival.
First of all, Zakir Hasanov stressed that Azerbaijan and Turkey build their relations on the basis of friendship and brotherhood. He noted that continued cooperation between Baku and Ankara in the military, military-technical and military-educational fields is extremely important for stability in the South Caucasus.
Muhsin Dere, in response, stated the need to develop the bilateral Azerbaijani-Turkish military industry and expand the exchange of experience between the military of the two states.
The talks were devoted to key vectors of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
