Tehran does not seek escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stated.
In his letter to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Foreign Minister accused the Saudi authorities of supporting extremists in the region and conducting a senseless military action against Shiite Huthi rebels in Yemen.
