Russia has always stood with Iran during difficult times, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said upon arrival in Moscow.
"The Russian government has stood with the Islamic republic of Iran during difficult times and we will definitely treat our friends, who stood by us during difficult times, differently," RFE/RL cited Zarif as saying.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with Zarif today in Moscow. The sides are expected to discuss steps to broaden trade and economic cooperation, the nuclear deal, as well as tension in Persian Gulf.
