Director General of the State Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova, speaking to the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, said that next year the museum plans to organize an exhibition of famous artist Tahir Salakhov in Venice in collaboration with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
"We look forward to organizing an exhibition of great artist Tahir Salakhov with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as part of the Venice Biennale 2021 at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, which hosted the exhibition of Gely Korzhev last year," Zelfira Tregulova said.
"When all the representatives of modern museums and galleries, all artists gather in Venice, it’s very important to show what is serious, deep and interesting for us. It is no coincidence that the exhibition of Tahir Salakhov was one of the first projects that I proposed in the museum. Perhaps this was my first project at the Tretyakov Gallery," the director general of the museum drew attention.
"I hope that this exhibition will be given no less attention than the exhibition of Gely Korzhev. These two artists both participated in the biennale in the early 60s. At Korzhev's exhibition, all the documentation and photographs about this event were presented, we even made the 3D model of the Soviet pavilion. Then Korzhev and Salakhov were very young artists, under 35 years of age," Zelfira Tregulova said.
