Near a zero turnout in today's referendum was not a surprise for the government of Abkhazia, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Shamil Adzynba, said.
‘’The turnout did not cause a serious surprise, we knew that people would not go to vote. Those who did not intend to, would not have come, even if the opposition had not boycotted the referendum, which had been initiated by itself,’’ TASS quotes him as saying.
