Anti-Russian rhetoric of the US and its NATO allies aims at eliminating Russia as a competitor in all spheres, Russian State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Deputy Chairman Sergei Zheleznyak said.
Zheleznyak pointed out that the opponents of Russia "use the methods of pressure and unfair competition that have been worked out in other countries." According to him, a wide range of information and political tools are being used, RIA Novosti reported.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier that Moscow is "at risk" to unleash a new nuclear arms race in the European region and urged the country to be transparent in its military projects and maneuvers. According to him, Russia is planning to develop and test a new medium-range missile.
