The Russian Olympic Committee’s president, Alexander Zhukov, said that Russia will consider the possibility of organizing the European Games.
"As for Russia, we have already formed quite a tight schedule of major sports events. You know that the World Cup will be held in 2018, the Winter Universiade will be held in Krasnoyarsk in 2019. These tournaments require serious financial costs and very careful preparation. But in the future we will certainly consider the possibility of organizing the European Games in Russia," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
"I would say that, right now, at least four cities could take these events. They are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Kazan," Zhukov said.
