Azerbaijani gymnast Zohra Agamirova with the result of 20.800 points reached the finals of the 35th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in individual clubs exercises, the correspondent of Vestnik Kakvaza reports. The competitions were held at the National Gymnastic Arena in Baku.
According to the results of the qualification, Russian gymnasts Dina and Arina Averina ranked first and second with the score of 23.875 and 22.300 points accordingly. Catherine Taseva from Bulgaria ranked third with 22.125 points. Belarusian gymnast Anastasia Salos became the 4th (21.600 points), the 5th became athlete from Ukraine Vlada Nikolchenko (21.500 points). Athletes from Slovenia and Israel Ekaterina Vedeneyeva (20.525 points) and Nicole Zelikman (20.350 points) ranked 7th and 8th accordingly.
Baku is hosting the 35th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships at the National Gymnastics Arena. Athletes from 35 countries are taking part in the championships. During the four-day championships, senior female gymnasts will perform in the individual program, while junior gymnasts will participate in the group exercise program. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 8 medal sets.
