Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, on the day of St. Nino’s commemoration, who brought Christianity to the Georgian lands, joined the procession of the believers for several hours.
Zurabishvili joined the believers at the Foki Monastery near Lake Paravani in Samtskhe-Javakheti and spent several hours with them, holding the Saint Nino's cross in her hands.
The procession was also attended by the head of the Georgian government, Mamuka Bakhtadze, and ministers of the parliament.
